Description

Slushie is a bold futuristic display typeface where space-age geometry collides head-on with playful, candy-colored energy. Designed by Indotype, Slushie takes the chunky, ultra-rounded letterform tradition of retro-futurist display design and pushes it into maximalist, neon-saturated territory — producing a typeface that feels simultaneously like a vintage arcade cabinet, a Y2K pop culture artifact, and a brand-new creative weapon built for the most visually expressive work of today.

The letterforms are constructed at near-maximum weight with dramatically rounded corners applied to every stroke junction and terminal — not a subtle softening but a full, deliberate rounding that gives each glyph a pillowy, almost inflatable quality. The internal corners are notched with squared cutouts that introduce a modular, almost pixel-adjacent geometric detail, referencing the construction logic of early digital display technology while remaining entirely fresh in execution. The result is a typeface that looks like it was designed for a screen that hasn’t been invented yet — but also like it belongs on the side of a spaceship that ran out of fuel somewhere in 1979.
