Description

Snikel is a retro display sans-serif typeface that occupies a rare and immediately compelling position in contemporary type design: the precise intersection where 1970s and 80s futurist lettering meets the bold, clean graphic language of modern brand design. Designed by Indotype, Snikel takes the chunky, wide-body display aesthetic of the retro-futurist era — the typefaces of space-age consumer products, early video game wordmarks, science fiction paperback covers, and the optimistic industrial graphics of post-Apollo pop culture — and redelivers them with the precision, optical consistency, and digital refinement demanded by contemporary brand and product design. The result is a typeface that hits with instant nostalgic recognition and an equally immediate sense of fresh, current graphic energy. Snikel has been here before, and it has come back better.
