Description

Zorak is a modern blackletter typeface that boldly bridges centuries — drawing deeply from the gothic manuscript tradition while speaking with an unmistakably contemporary voice. Designed by Indotype, Zorak strips the blackletter genre of its historical rigidity and reimagines it through the lens of modern display design: the dramatic ink-black mass of classic textura and rotunda scripts is retained, but filtered through fluid, rounded curves and a smooth, high-weight stroke structure that feels fresh, fearless, and entirely of the moment.

Zorak is designed for designers who want to project power, heritage, and edge in equal measure. It is ideally suited for: streetwear and urban fashion brand identities, luxury and premium brand logotypes seeking gothic character, heavy music band names, album covers, and tour merchandise, tattoo-inspired apparel and accessory graphics, craft spirits and artisan beverage labels (whiskey, mezcal, dark beer), newspaper and magazine mastheads seeking a modern gothic voice, sports team identities and apparel, editorial headlines for bold cultural publications, and high-end sneaker and lifestyle brand campaigns.
Its clean, modern edges and digital-friendly weight distribution ensure that Zorak reproduces with precision across all mediums — from high-resolution print to screen-based brand applications.
